Anyone who's been in a long term, long distance relationship will understand the brain-bashing frustration of trying to snatch a quick 10 minute phone call between commitments, static and data limitations. 

My grandparents had a strong marriage for fifty years, despite being separated during a world war and having the occasional plate-smashing argument. Now I'm all grown up and my grandparents have passed on, but the spirit of their love and commitment lives in the colours of the opal in my ring.

Today Larry and I have been together for a whole year - go us. During that time, we've been physically in the same country for six months & two weeks and in different time zones for the rest. So how did we make a long distance relationship with a 5 hour time difference work? 

Stubborn, sulky, dramatic. These are all words people have used to describe me.  I didn't think I could grow, or that I needed to, until I met someone who challenged me, while loving and accepting me.
